Common questions

What is limited medical insurance?

It's a lower-cost plan that pays set amounts or copays for everyday care, such as doctor visits, urgent care, labs, prescriptions and hospital stays.

Is it the same as ACA (Obamacare) insurance?

No. It costs less and you can join any day, but it has yearly benefit limits and isn't a replacement for comprehensive coverage. Your agent will tell you honestly which option fits you best.

Are pre-existing conditions covered?

It depends on the plan. Some cover them after a waiting period, some limit them. Your agent will check before you enroll.

Does it cost anything to get a quote?

No. Quotes are free and there's no obligation to buy.

Limited medical, fixed indemnity and hospital indemnity plans are not comprehensive major medical insurance and are not a substitute for ACA-compliant coverage. They pay limited benefits, have annual and per-service maximums, and contain exclusions and limitations. Pre-existing conditions may not be covered. These plans are not eligible for Marketplace premium tax credits and are not intended for people eligible for Medicare. Availability varies by state. Review plan documents for full details.
